Voices soar with the anthem of the Third World March for Peace and Nonviolence

Citizens of the world, partisans of a world without borders… these are the first words of the refrain of Citoyens du Monde, a composition by HK, offered to be the anthem of the Third World March (3MM) for Peace and Nonviolence.

Citoyens du monde, partisans d’un monde sans frontières… It was with the support of Céline Cotton for the Spanish translation and interpretation and Cathy Heiting for the English text and interpretation, as well as Jens Krause and Capitano Studio Provence, who re-recorded this title in a multilingual version.

The music video was filmed in Marseille on October 2, 2024, the 20th anniversary of the International Day of Non-Violence and the departure of 3MM from San Jose, Costa Rica. It was on the Plaine, and more particularly on the Place du Cour Julien, where the symbol of nonviolence was configured, in front of a lively crowd that came to see the concert of HK and the Deserters, where this title was performed for the first time, for the first time live.

Since then, dozens of videos are circulating of people singing the chorus, as a show of their support for the Third World March. The goal for us is for people to be able to interpret it in their own way, as we might do with Cathy Heiting. “People sometimes send me their posts with her video, it’s great to see her play them too,” Cotton explains.

You can now listen to this title and watch the music video from October 2 in Marseille on our YouTube channel, or by clicking on the video above.
