BNM demonstrated against the nuclear test bomb which was conducted by Pakistan

The Baloch National Movement observed 28 May 1998 as the blackest day in Baloch history when brutalist Pakistan conducted its nuclear bomb test in the city of Chaghai, Balochistan. This day marked the darkest moment in Balochistan’s history.

The Baloch National Movement demonstrated in different European countries such as Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and South Korea to protest the nuclear bomb test carried out by Pakistan.

From 1998 until now, the people of Balochistan have been suffering from numerous diseases caused by nuclear radiation, including a high incidence of cancer, non-malignant thyroid issues, brain tumors, and skin diseases.

It has not only affected humans but also the entire ecosystem. The land cannot be cultivated, the water is undrinkable, and the air is unfit to breathe.

From the conduction of nuclear tests to enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings, it appears to be a systematic genocide of the Baloch nation. Under the guise of development, projects like Saindak, Reko Diq, Sui Gas, and CPEC are silently contributing to the genocide of the Baloch nation and depriving them of their basic human rights.

76 years have passed, yet the Baloch still do not have basic rights, despite being the owners of the world’s 5th largest gold and copper resources. They are dying for lack of food. The freedom of Balochistan is the only way to change the fate of the Baloch people and provide them with basic human rights.
