Preparations for the World March for Peace and Non-Violence 2024 are already underway in Pakistan, involving youth under the age of 13.  A Football Festival was organized on the 8th and 9th of July featuring five teams in Bahria Town, with approximately 100 youth and officials participating in the event.

During the tournament, the youth received orientation about the significance of the World March for Peace and were given motivation to denounce any activities promoting violence in the future.

To transcend the competitive mindset of winning and losing, the tournament was structured on a win-win basis. All teams were considered winners. Equal trophies and medals adorned with the logo of the World March for Peace and Non-Violence were distributed. Certificates and trophies were also awarded to the officials and players.

Furthermore, the management of the Bahria Town and the Izmir Society has decided to organize a Peace Walk, Marathon, or any other sports festival in October 2024 as a tribute to the World March for Peace and Non-Violence. Both entities have also agreed to host the International World March for Peace Base Team when it comes to Pakistan.

This initial spark promises to ignite motivation among the people of Pakistan, and I am confident that this World March arch will serve as a powerful platform to highlight peace activities worldwide.
