Members of the Global Journey for Peace and Non-Violence Arrive in Kannur

Members of the World march for Peace and Non-Violence arrived in Kannur on October 2, having commenced their journey from Costa Rica. The team members received a warm welcome at the railway station. Rafael de la Rubia, the global leader of the World March, and Diego Montalban were honored by the district’s promotion team, represented by P.K. Premarajan and T.P.R. Nath.

The event was led by President K.P. Ravindran, co-coordinator of the World March Pradeepan  and artist Shashikala. They were joined by several distinguished individuals, including Mohanan Ponnambeth, B.S. Bhasi, C.K. Babu, Ranjith Sarkar, K. Chandrababu, and Rajan Korambath. The ceremony emphasized the significance of the World March and the need to disseminate the messages of peace and non-violence.

The arrival of the team marked a unifying moment for local activists and leaders dedicated to peace and non-violence. This reception not only celebrated their journey but also sought public support for peaceful initiatives and encouraged the community to advocate for peaceful resolutions to conflicts. Such global movements inspire local efforts to address challenges and build a culture of peace within society.
